New England Nurses specializes in the care of infants and children. We also provide care for young adults utilizing nurses with pediatric or adult nursing experience. Our patients are often babies with complications, children with chronic or degenerative illnesses, or children dependent upon technological devices to sustain life. We recognize that infants, children and their families have special needs that require special services. Our goal is to provide families with professional and compassionate care to make life at home more comfortable. To ensure continuity of services, our qualified staff works with the physician, and the child’s family to implement a plan of care.

  • Private duty is in-home skilled nursing care provided by RNs or LPNs. Nurses provide care to one patient at a time for shifts usually lasting from four to twelve hours.

  • Intermittent visit care is provided by RNs and LPNs going to the patient's home to perform a specific task for an acutely ill child. Nursing tasks might include administering IV medications, doing a dressing change or teaching diabetic care. A visit usually takes less than two hours.

  • School Nursing can be provided as private duty or visits. The nurse may accompany the child to and from school on the school bus and provide care all during the school day. Or the nurse may visit a child who is at school to perform a specific skilled nursing procedure or task.

Our pediatric home health services include block time private duty nursing as well as nursing visits for managing and/or treating the following:
